Food for a car themed birthday party

So far Pinterest :hehe: has helped me find mini chocolate dipped donuts (spare tyres), bread sticks (dip sticks), sandwiches cut out with a car cookie cutter, car shaped cookies, apple wedges with grapes skewered through the bottom so it looks like little cars (still undecided on this, won’t the apple go brown?)

Any other suggestions?

Just use little lemon juice on apples. Does the food has to resemble a car? Or can it be food you might eat on road trips?

Re: Food for a car themed birthday party

for desserts u can do brownies/fudge in rectangle shape & put up green, yellow 7 red smarties. makes a traffic signal. u can insert a toothpick for each too… hmm let me do more research n come back..:stuck_out_tongue:

^I was thinking of a traffic signal as well! Brownies would be great or if the kids would be into rice krispie treats you could make those and frost with chocolate and then add smarties or m&ms. OR you could make mini-cupcakes and frost them with red/yellow/green and set them up to look like a traffic signal.

-A pretzel stick with miniature marshmallows on each side (axle)

-A jar of some sort of nut mix and label it ‘nuts and bolts’

Also you could have any finger food and just insert a checkered flag onto it stay in the theme.

You have some excellent ideas.

You can also make pasta with rotelle pasta, it resembles wheels. Use the back of clean toy trucks you have at home to serve snacks.. like cheese bites or fries.

Make cupcakes with white cream cheese frosting and use chocolate sauce to make it checkered like on the flags.

Use orange wafer cones and fill them with scoops of icecream if you want.

Some great ideas guys. Didn’t even think of the traffic light brownies - brilliant!
