I know this was directed to RV, but I wanted to mention that making macarons from scratch is not terribly difficult. I make them from scratch and I don’t find it difficult per say. It’s just a bit time consuming as the quantities of the ingredients must be exact (or near exact), you must be cautious not to overmix and keep a watchful on them while they bake but once you have made them a few times, you have the process down. After having the process down, it’s quite easy as the process is the same every time (the only part which changes is the flavouring you decide to use).
