food combos

alright iam curious about everyones choice of food combination that you love or love(d) but others found it gross

the main one for me was

bread with nutella and a slice of cheese… i’ve been having that since i was a child and i still love it but always had people make negative comments about it..

and mayonaise with fries also one of my favs…

my weirdo husband LOVES to eat zarda (sweet rice) with daalcha (goshth wali daal)!!! Eeewwww!!! the first time i saw him do that i nearly puked at the table, until my mother in law laughingly told me that he's been eating it like that since childhood....has anyone else heard of that!??!

^ I have a friend. and eating guR walay chawal with loki/gosht ka salan is very common in his family.

ketchup and chutney…or ketchup and yogurt. I don’t think it’s gross considering that yogurt and tomatoes are commonly used in desi cooking…but some find it weird.

sprite and apple juice…it becomes apple soda and tastes so good. Though that’s not really weird.

Chinese fried rice with ketchup.

I used to eat my meals (salan/roti) with a glass of cold chocolate milk…and my cousin thought it was weird. She said that eating your meal with milk was a white person thing to do. :rolleyes:

And I sometimes go through this phase where I eat mayo with various salans like daal, etc. ANd I mix a bit of achar or hot sauce into the mayo.

i know someone who eats banana diboyeng in a chai :smack:
