if you want cutting edge information you should try the semi-academic/business jouranals like MIT Technology Review, Business 2.0, fortune, etc

business 2.0 is good but still a bit too focused on the unusual. I suggest information week as a great source, it will cover everything from cutting edge technology, to use of RFID for cargo security to CRM/ERP/SCM/APS apps, hardware, data warehousing.. u name it.

  • Slashdot (Kinda badly designed)
  • Wired
  • Business 2.0
  • MIT Tech review (hmm ... I think I am gonna like this one)
  • Information week.

If you are looking on the business side of things I would focus on the business mags and pick out the interesting articles and research further. add fortune to the list as well.
