Following Labelling Instructions - Middle East

A new fuel tanker arrives on location somewhere in the Middle East.

The HSE manager tells the fleet supervisor to ensure that the tanker is clearly labeled “Diesel Fuel” and “No Smoking” in Arabic.

This is what he got …

:omg:

What is your experience of getting apples for pears when you specify your requirements?

A child was sent to the market to bring a phool, he came back with gobi ka phool.

Photoshopped.

Re: Following Labelling Instructions - Middle East

What makes you think it is photoshopped? It is real ... someone who went on site saw this ... I'll post the other picture too if you wish.

Also, the space between no and smoking is shoddy as well as the Arabic above spelt Arbic ... Trust me it's real.

It's a common requirement to have no smoking signage near Oil tankers

You see many other similar errors around here. But never seen something this bad:cb:

Re: Following Labelling Instructions - Middle East

this is photoshoped, clearly visible, the red bar is edited. open up in any image viewer and zoom in to see the pixels. text in red bar also has a thin black border, which is unsuaul for written/painted text on such containers.

edit:

saw this post after i replied above. if you have other pictures then may be its true. but i'm sure at least in the UAE they have standard warning messages for commercial vehicles can be hazzardous. may be somewhere else in the middle east, as you didnt say UAE : )

This is a site vehicle - everything on these multi-billion dollar projects are custom spec’d.

Here’s the other picture … I’ve seen plenty of mishaps on signage and other things it is not unusual … in fact in my capacity at work (quality) there are so many things that are dubious one wonders how the designs work …

As you can see if it is photoshopped the second photo being in a different perspective to the first should have differences that are out of sync with the first photo … I can’t see such discontinuities. A guy on site is also pointing out the error …
