rvikz, forget Islam and Muslims. We’re bad people.
Could you please start a thread on ‘Converts to Hinduism’ and tell us about the statistics as well as about the famous personalities who have converted to Hinduism. I’m sure it’ll be a learning experience for the remainder of us.

I await your thread.
Sadiyah/ Armughal, This thread isn't about Hinduism.. Its about a Muslim turning to Christianity or April Fool...
Armughal's indication and demeaning Idol worship was totally uncalled for....... Though as a mod it looks fine.. since you also accept that...
Saidyah, you don't convert to Hinudism, you accept that philosphy and way of life... Don't go far... Just look at whole ISCON movement...... whole Yoga movement ( In Hinduism Yoga, at higher level leads to Salvation and is related to Meditation), ........
Most of you may not get this, since it doesn't fit in your definition of conversion......
I'm interested in finding out how many have given up their previous beliefs and have embraced the philosophy of Hinduism where the new followers worship God in the same manner as Hindus do and take part in Hindu rituals and celebrations.
there is no equivalent of kalima in hiduism and the relgious diversity as exist now will
always exist. even if all become muslims still althe relgious problem will continue
in other form like sectarianism. contoversies like who is following correct form or who is true muslims
moderate or radical elements will continue.
Please don't define for us, what is Hinduism......... :-).
Among various paths for salvation accepted, one is Yoga,,,
In Spritual form its also called as Raj Yoga by some people. There is concept of Chakra's in Yoga .. Let that concept go... since nobody will listen and just abuse the baisc human form (that's we believe in... )..

Sadiyah, since you have split the thread, its your responsibility to stop this thread from turnign into a thread for abusing Hindus and its beliefs.....

In your question you are trying to define Hinduism don't do that........ than you wont' get the answer, you are seaking......... I haven't been to temple for 20 years........ I believe in power of mediation ( Nirakar Brahm)......
As I said earlier... ISCKON is one example... They believe in Krishha and Krishna Janmashtmi is big for them....... as well Holi is big at ISCKON..
Come to "Art of Living Centers", its all about Bhajan and songs......... 12Lakh people came to Bangalore for annual day, atleast 20% of them were people from other faith..
The mediation mission I believe in has around 20Lakh people and out of them atleast 2-3000, are Muslims, and atleast 2 Lakh are from outside India (Non-Hindus)...
Come to major places of Hindu bliefs and see how many foreigners are there staying for years, just to get peace and understand this philosphy...
Rahul67, already worried about this thread going sour? Did you lose count of the number of threads on Islam that have gone bad because many of you folks just can't seem to resist bringing your half-cooked bious theories about Islam and Muslims?
It seems as though there's no end to Islam and Muslim bashing.
Anyway, I'll keep a close eye on this thread and feel free to report 'bad posts' or PM me in case I accidentally miss something.
Not getting back to topic, yoga may be part of Hinduism and many may have embraced it. However, what I'm interested in finding out is famous personalities and other people in general who have embraced the philosophy of Hinduism where they read the Hindu holy books, worship God as per the instructions present in the Hindu holy books, and celebrate Hindu festivals.

I'm not defining Hinduism or its beliefs.
I'm unfamiliar with ISCKON. Please shed some light on it.
Also, I'm familiar with the fact that many do visit India (perhaps Nepal as well) for peace and tranquility. What exactly does it consist of and what is it all about?
What are the bhajans and songs about?
Also, what's the mediation mission. Please explain.
sadiyah compettion for followers only exist beween christinaity and islam
other religens dont acttivly seek converts. also economic, military power ultimatly
plays a role deciding betwen the competing religens.
I'm not talking competition at all. It's about quality and not necessarily quantity. There are statistics for literally everything. Therefore, I'm sure there must be statistics on the number of people who completely adopt Hindu philosophy.
Completely adopt = read Hindu scriptures and hold them to be authentic, try to follow those scriptures, worship God the way any other Hindu would, celebrate festivals like any other Hindu.
Faruk sahab, Vedantism is what you know today as Hinduism. It was your ancestors who gave us the name Yindoo or Hindu.
Remember that the Vedas are the the most sacred books of Hinduism.
Yoga is a part and parcel of Hinduism.
Albert Einstein has praised the Bhagwad Gita. Madonna, and other Hollywood personalities practice Yoga. So many westerners come to India to follow Lord Krishna in the ISKON movement.
According to Hindu religion the souls of the ‘departed’ migrate upwards or downwards the caste system depending how good they have been in the life just ‘exited’ from.
Any provision in Hinduism to cater for the ‘new converts’ into the caste system?
As per Hindu Philoshpy Krishna was last avataara (Or messenger of GOD). I know ISKON believe in Krishna - Hence Geeta.. I am not an expert on ISKON Movement… Though you can read at.. http://www.iskcon.com/
