my “downloads” folder has suddenly been corrupted n windows is showing me a message saying that the folder is corrupted and unreadable… how can i get my files from that folder?? and wat cud be the cause of the problem?

perform a chkdsk operation.
1) press Win+R [Win key is the windows key next to left ALT]
2) type 'cmd' & press enter
(this opens a command prompt window)
3) type 'chkdsk /f /x c:'
(if prompted with a message regarding not able to lock...., press Y & reboot the system)
So essentially if there is a file system corruption, the chkdsk utility will attempt to repair it BUT it's also possible it won't be able to recover your folder and you may lose your data.

run command prompt with administrative access then.
go to start>all programs>accessories
right clink on command prompt
select run as administrator
then try again

chk out the reason why ths happend … ther mgt b som virus or som issue with that folder … u beter virus scan it … at least u will get the cause the of the issue from som struggle …

Hard drive might be defective. Do you have any built-in diagnostics utilities which include a hard-drive check?
Run a hard drive check & start moving your important data out of the hard drive.
