fogged specs....

now this doesnt require one to be a scientist to answer this…
its rather a very simple query…

now, as u all know, bahrain is really hot and humid in summer (no rain ofcourse) so when i get out of the air-conditioned buildings, and go out in the open, my glasses get all foggy with the moisture condensing on them…
as u can imagine, it is really irritating, cuz anyway am new to specs and then this moisture thing is a nuisance…

q - how can i avoid this thing???
and no i am not considering lenses or surgery…

same thing here in Dammam/KSA as well..
and the humidity that begin yesterday is too much irritating as well...
I read it some where that anti fog glasses are available but i m not sure if they are available in specs or not .........

always keep a tissue paper in ur pocket..... ;)

you can get anti fog lenses pretty much anywhere, I am certain you can get them in Bahrain or KSA. the other option is to use anti fog sprays which are also available various companies make them inclusing sportswear companies like speedo.

does glass vaxing polish work? any one tried it ?

^
no idea what u r talking about....

yeah it works to some extent....but for the kind of humidity that we have here, even this becomes ineffective....

what about oily specs ? I have tried using all kind of fabric to clean it…and the oil just doesn’t go away

2 triks you can do. number 1: put a/c of. also save eletrity. or number 2: pot specs pocket when outside

....sorry bhai, joking only. best way one person says, keep clean cloth lercheef in pocket (dont do nose brsssssss in kercheef)

Polish your specs with a little lemon juice. Acids are hydrophyllic and will take care of the moisture, you'll need to do this on a daily basis though, otherwise you could always try getting fog free lenses.

Umm.. scuba divers and snorkelers spit on their lenses… dont know if you wanna make that a regular practice with your glasses :mudhosh::slight_smile:

Try washing your glasses with washingup-liquid.
