excellent article…we need to focus on eliminating these animals TTP and we need unity
this is exactly what i am saying for last few days…those who are criticizing military courts using different analogies or want to expand their horizon by bringing political crimes into it are destroying the unity that we experienced against terrorism after Peshawar massacre…once we expand the horizon of military courts, you will lose the unity and focus that you need to fix TTP and that is what taliban and JUI and JI want
molana fazal and JI and doing it on purpose because they support TTP but what is the agenda of other people? you dont want to listen to me but at least read this article…aamir khakwani is a very senior journalist and a mature columnist for sometime now. his last paragraph is worth reading.
I would say that its confusion if someone was opposing military courts. But expanding their reach to all acts of terrorism is by no means opposing military courts.
Looking for support of one group of terrorists against other has not helped before and is not going to help in future.
Im in favor of military courts if they are given a free hand, and general public is allowed to plead its cases in them as well. No pick and choose by the govt.
Fact is, many have already stated that 'it will open up a pandora's box'. And point is, what is the deal if a pandora's box is opened? What are they afraid of if they 'havent done anyting wrong'?

because military courts are only for a 2 yr period to address a very unique and special situation that Pak is facing aka to prosecute TTP terrorists, to address sectarian violence in a timely manner etc . If we include general public, political parties and everything else under military courts, these courts will lose their core focus (address terrorism fast), will never have capacity and capability to address millions of pending civilian cases plus you will never have the type of unification that you want against the war on terrorism. thx
