FOBs and Coconuts

I remember there was a thread discussing the term “coconuts” and the overall conclusion was that people aren’t offended by this term.

FOBs, however, should they be offended by the term freshie etc?

Also… if coconuts were to emigrate to desiland, would they then become FOBs because they’re the fresh ones off the boat now?

Please do discuss this very intellectual taapic! :khumar:

Re: FOBs and Coconuts

This is how the hierarchy works..:chai:

White man > ABCD > FOB> Desi Back home

Re: FOBs and Coconuts

Interesting :hmmm: But you didn’t answer any of my questions!

Re: FOBs and Coconuts

My reply includes all the answers.....keeping in view majority of your audience here.....

Re: FOBs and Coconuts

No it doesn't. You reply did, however, remind me of a joke from "Allah made me funny"

Before 9/11: "White > brown > black"

After 9/11: "White > black > dogs > brown" :p

Re: FOBs and Coconuts

Whites > Blacks > Innits > Freshies

Re: FOBs and Coconuts

Re: FOBs and Coconuts

AH thats annoying...

Re: FOBs and Coconuts

no they should not. if your math, science subjects, philosophy and anthropology is strong then you will be loved by everyone. you have to good in somethign to be loved

yep. no one accepts you back home.

Re: FOBs and Coconuts

its less of no one accepts, I have seen that the regular desis accept farangi desis more than the burger desis. jealousy n stuff

Re: FOBs and Coconuts

Curious...how long is a person freshie for?

To answer BBC's question. I think anything that is used in a derogatory manner can be taken as offensively. I guess it depends who said it to whom and if they meant it in a negative way.

Re: FOBs and Coconuts

1 year straight

Re: FOBs and Coconuts

You have to define regular desis and farangi desis here.
