What is going on here? The question was only about accents. The thread creator is not connecting the accent to the individual’s personality. Needless to say, but just as it’s normal for a person to have personal preferences for looks and accents, one would also have a preference for personality. People don’t only ask, “Does he drink and womanize?”. They also ask “Are we connecting?” “Do I feel any chemistry?” “Do I enjoy interacting and conversing with the person?” “Is the person down to earth or conceited?” “Intellectual or shallow?” What’s annoying to one person is charming to another.
Do YOU have any preferences that are deal breakers for you such as weight, height, location, education, huh huh huh?. I guess we ALL do this. We’ll chide the other person for having a preference and ignore the fact the we ourselves just might have some “shallowness” lurking within the depths of our own souls. Nobody said rejection doesn’t hurt. In the end, to each his own.
