I recently sold my car and along with it went my Pioneer MP3 player. Now the new car has a nice Bose 6CD Changer with cassette player ( I know looks strange nowadays). The CD player strictly plays original Music CD, a copy/burned CD jams the unit automatically. It doesn’t have Aux jack for iPod or MP3 player.
What would be the best solution so I may be able to play MP3 with a reasonable quality? Someone told me to get a old fashion cassette car kit as FM transmitters for MP3 players do not produce good output.
Anyone used a car kit for MP3 player? Please share your experience.
It depends on where you live. If you have lots of FM stations in that area the FM transmitter one would not work properly all the time. On the other hand the cassette adapter would always work wherever you are.
Cassette adapter works better than FM transmitter. That what I have heard from most people. I have tried both myself too. The quality of music on FM Transmitter sucked big time. The cassette adapter is the closest thing you can get. But beware! you only want to get the one from Sony. I returned one that I bought from Radioshack and bought a Sony one from ebay for under $10.00. Its around $23 in the stores.
I agree with Asif2000. Cassette is definitely better than FM transmitter and I have tried them both too. With the transmitter you would be able to get the sound on one street but it will disappear as soon as you would make a turn.
I bought a Sony Cassette adaptor and SanDisc Clip 2GB MP3 player. Its rocking! Good enough quality for me. I don't miss my Pioneer :p I like to listen to 680AM more than listening to music.
