flying with infant-suddenly terrified.

im flying out next week, and all of a sudden im terrified of going out alone pregnant and with a infant. ive never travelled internationally alone, and now i am, im also 6month preg with a 1yr old. so am worried now, plus the airport im comfy with was dubai as ive been there many times, but we booked qatar aiorways, which is going to doha airport. anyone been there, is it easy to get to the boarding gates of ur connecting flights. i have no idea why im suddenly all nervous…

plus at heathrow, im hoping theyl have someone to help lift the suitcases and push the trolley? do they have anything for pregnant women…oooo-eeeeeerrrrr

Re: flying with infant-suddenly terrified.

Just think of coming back with one infant and a baby then the flying with one will not be so terrifing.

Re: flying with infant-suddenly terrified.

be sure to have a lightweight stroller that you can check in at the gate! and get when you get off the plane. It s gonna be tough but get help from air hostesses when needed....people tend to be extra nice to a pregnant lady, especially with kids...

Re: flying with infant-suddenly terrified.

o reality finally sinks in. airport is nothing. what if you need a c-section, and your kid refuses to stay with any of your relatives it hasn't met yet? good luck.

Re: flying with infant-suddenly terrified.

I have been to Doha airport and I think it is smaller than Dubai airport so it should be easier. I have travelled with my 1 year old and had a stop over at Abu Dhabi. It is also a big airport and I hated walking from one end of the airport to the other to get my connection with a stroller and hand carry.
Be sure to travel light .... atleast have lighter hand carry as I am sure you will have a diaper bag as well. I found it hard to push the stroller and pull my hand carry bag.

No idea about Heathrow but the couple of airports I ve been to, there are always porters. Besides if you are showing than I am sure people around will help you too (atleast thats my experience)

Re: flying with infant-suddenly terrified.

yes im showing, in fact i look 21 months pregnant not the 6 that i am.....hugeeeee.

thanks all the same.

Re: flying with infant-suddenly terrified.

buses are used at doha airport to transfer passengers from plane to gate, and from gate to plane.

i think that could annoy you.
