I am going to pakistan this week inshallah flying from heathrow however im scared of flying
It hasnt been to long since i travelled on a plane however this time im really nervous!
Anyone else here scared of flying & how do u overcome ur fears not flying is not an option for me..
Take it easy and say your prayers?:)
Oh Ok i admit i'm scared of flying too or at least i was once. It's why i rejected the Air force, and chose the Army.
Personally i overcome flying nervousness by prayers.(I'm a religous maniac)
But if that don't help you take a decent book with you one you really like to read.
Never a better thing to take your mind off then a good book or a nice song. Though if you opt for a song please don't listen to too much Aziz mian while flying becuase i listened to too much of his quawli from Heathrow to Rawalpindi and when i got off i couldn't say anything except
Main Sharabee!:D( that got me plenty of odd looks at the airport i tell you!)
Anyway take care and have a nice journey.
Let us know how you do.
Re: Flying Paranoia
Faris thank you I shall bear that in mind however I dont think reading a book or listening to songs will keep my occupied I get bored very easily I just hope they have good movies on in the plane & the headphones actually work! crappy PIA! plus its an 8 hour journey no book or songs can keep me entertained for that long :(
lol @ main sharabee!
If you are going with your family get them to have conversations with you.
If its an overnight flight try and sleep for as much as possible.
Good luck!
Re: Flying Paranoia
Try to change your seat to bulkhead isle or window with plenty of leg room. this is the place u will have home like space and will keep busy to see air hostesses doing their job. arranging food, etc etc. if u sit in middle seats, u may have panic attacks.
