Flowers

Re: Flowers

I like getting flowers. I have my preferences, but when I get them from SO, I am not picky about what I get. He tries to get me the prettiest bunch (which I don't find super pretty).

A while ago, I was getting them a little too often and I kind of stopped valuing the sentiment behind them. Asked him to cut it down. I don't think I have received any since possibly last summer. But it would be sweeeet if I get them now.

But flowers dying makes me sad.

Re: Flowers

^ Dry them up, brush them with scented oil..

Re: Flowers

I usually buy plants/potted flowers as gifts that way they don't die and bloom every year.

Re: Flowers

I love getting flowers. Sources: mom, dad, and recently, siblings.

Re: Flowers

I love getting flowers, haven't gotten roses yet, still waiting for Mr. Wonderful so he can wonderfully suprise me with a bouquet of fresh roses, however, thus far I've only received flowers on my graduation. sara is right, desi's do consider it impractical to get flowers, and probably only do this on occasions that are flower deserving, not a random day, or date!

I don't think its out of fashion because due to growing demand I think the prices have risen? or maybe the economy is making it feel that way. I don't know. flowers are luxurious so they won't go out of the pic too fast.

Flowers

No girl would ever say no to flowers lol. You should have learn that by now

Even those weird tomboys that say they don't want flowers on valentines, they would be really ecstatic if they get one lol

Re: Flowers

Wheres the fun in that?

Re: Flowers

My husband has started getting me flowers in th elast year  I love them. I dont’ care which ones or wht they look like, I love flowers and it’s a sweet gesture

Re: Flowers

Love flowers, but only ever get them on Valentine’s day. Still, not complaining - I love them! Always give them to my mum on Mother’s Day too - she loves them too

Re: Flowers

After every couple of days hubby brings me one single rose like only one flower. Mostly it’s red but sometimes in other colors too. Till yet I have never figured why he brings one flower, may be he likes it like that and I don’t want to ask him in case he starts bringing whole bouquet.
I do love flowers and I have fresh arrangements in couple of spaces but the centerpiece is always that one flower

I love lilies, chrysanthemums, hyacinth, chameli, motiya or any in that family. I like roses that smell like roses instead of just looking like roses and peonies are literally my favorite flower because they are so beautiful, majestic and yet delicate and feminine.

I love flowers because they just brighten up any space but I don't like spending money or have hubs spend enormous amount on a bouquet for me. I personally think it is a waste to spend exorbitant amount of money on a bouquet and instead I rather buy a plant so the flowers can be enjoyed for more than a week and if I am giving someone flowers, I usually buy potted flowers I planters so if they have a garden, they can plant them.

Re: Flowers

U are such a flower yourself hehe

Re: Flowers

I love flowers...I always have some in my home.

Peonies are my absolute favorites.

I buy them for myself but also get them every so often from dude. I love it...I don't care what kind he gets me...the thought of me made him want to get flowers...that is enough.

Re: Flowers

My fiancé has bought flowers for me occasionally. About 3-4 times in a year. Usually they're pink/white roses and pink lilies. I know this is the courting phase and I probably won't get them after we're married, except for maybe valentines day.
Lilies last a long time and they smell amazing so I think they're worth it. But I would rather get a box of chocolates if I had to choose one over the other :)
