Has any of you achieved “flow state” and know how to tap into it and STAY in it (without drugs of course)?
Watch Jason Silva talk about it here, if you aren’t sure what I’m talking about. He is kind of mindblowing.

Re: Flow State
You mean Zen like feeling? Yeah, it comes and goes. It's hard to maintain it though with all the sh** you have to deal with in life. I meditate a lot and that definitely helps me. It requires constant training of the mind, not just something anyone can accomplish over night. I remind myself I need to be mindful, compassionate, patient, and positive.
Re: Flow State
It’s that higher state of consciousness where you are mindful and aware of your surroundings and in control of your emotions. Focused and undistracted and able to achieve 8 hours of work in 2 hours. (Kind of like the movie Limitless and Lucy, but not really ;o))
Meditation & breathing exercises are definitely the way to ‘train’ your brain. But like you said, it takes time and dedication. Life (!!) gets in the way and it’s hard to prioritize and make time to do this regularly. I would love to have that kind of control on my brain though!
By the way if you’re non-religious like me and into meditation, you might enjoy this book - Waking Up by Sam Harris.

Is there an audible version of the book? I have a long drive to work and I have been looking for something like this to listen to on my way. I would love that!
I have made it my life goal to reach that state. I have been into it for a long time but never heard the term "flow state." I usually refer to Buddhist eightfold path, which is the same thing basically. The peace you feel at that state of mind is incredible. Nothing can set you off until something does. LOL!
Re: Flow State
They have an Audible for it on Amazon:
Also check out Jason Silva on Facebook and Youtube. He is a combo of science, art, technology and spirituality. He is super smart yet have that childlike awe that is so contagious. I’m sure you will love him too!
Re: Flow State
Seriously ?
Sam Harris while preaching we don't need religion and science can create mortality, wears a big fat wedding ring.
None of his follower could ever explain why is that contradiction.
Now he believes in spirit too ????
In quran, messenger always said to people "do I ask you for money in return?" Sadly Sam Harris fails that test.
Got to be little critical about where you put faith in.... :)
Re: Flow State
I tried meditation. Sat streight, closed eyes, imagined a lotus just above my head and concentrated at it's center. It makes thoughtless. After some days I realised it is not good for me to make myself dumb for an hour then I stopped doing that.
