I thought the same thing… except I don’t think it’s a stereotype. When it comes to dentistry, NHS service is pretty basic. Since the government changed the way NHS dentists are funded, it’s become worse. And since we don’t have dental plans and people taking out insurance is a pretty new thing, dental treatment beyond the basics is a cost most people don’t want to or can’t afford.
