Aoa All
Just wondering if I can have opinion of the people here about the floor cleaning. My home is not very big. It has carpet only in lounge and all rooms etc have wooden floor. Anyone of you use any machine for wooden floor cleaning or is it just by mopping etc? I was browsing for machines and found same that can be used for carpet and floors both. Your suggestions would be very helpful in decision.

Exactly my concern. there are steam mops available for that purpose. I dont use any. what I do is broom it properly then occasionaly i spray some wood polsih and rub it for a glossy evenly texture BUT just occasionaly bcoz it makes the floor too slipery
For wooden floor, use a microfibre duster broom often to just get the dirt off, hardwood vacuums work great too and prevent stuff from getting in crevices etc.
Use a special wood cleaner for cleaning the floor. I use Bona as a substitute for the one that mirage, my wood floor company has for their floors.
I have tried the swiffer stuff and its very filmy.
When in doubt, water and vinegar mixture with a slightly damp cleaning cloth works well as well.
