Morning shows (ARY and GEO) bhar puur tareekay say shaadi aur mehendi baraat n stuff kay programs laga rahay haen, they decorate the stage invite celebs with huge chammak damak dresses n stuff and host the shows…

as we are aware of the halaat of our country, how can our Media be so one sided, so selfish in showing the band baja baraat programs during such hard times?
Lahore, Sindh, Karachi situations, suicide bombings, like hello TV ppl WAKE UP!!! or they are just trying to ignore the current facts…
ur correct bt u have to c that they cnt do a show on dengue everyday as after all they have 2 put food on their tables too . i think the news channel r doing enough for the awareness!
i personally hate the morning shows n all the more the ones with shadi n banda baaja wale shows however i believe the already dukhi qaum enjoyes them n dnt want 2 see dukh on the entertainment sector too so its ok!
The already dukhi qaum also gets frustrated after watching all that glitz n glamor. I am not saying her waqt flood n all dikhatay rahaen but atleast kuch to lihaaz rakhaen halaat ka

I dont see anything wrong in doing shaadi programs during such a tensed situation of pakistan. (i am assuming they have started doing such progs because of shaadi season in pakistan). anyhow i honestly dont want to see bunch of people dicussing dengi, floods, bombings etc...since we all know the solution and it has been discussed millions of times...unless the prog is about some practical work which is showing some progress.
i know what ur saying bt believe me, everyone has a remote nowadays and they can switch the channel off. rite? why must the ones who want to see those shows suffer cuz somebody else doesnt want to see?!
i detest these shows so the remote comes in very handy for me

believe me agar entertainment channels par bhi dengue and floods ki baatain shuru hogaien to aadhi say ziada awam jin kay paas tv aur cable hai tv dekhna bilkul band kardaingay including me myself... at my home news channels bilkul nahi dekhay jaatay, humnay dekhna hi band kardiye hain.... not bcoz we don't care abt the situation in our country...but isliye k jab bhi dekhay depression aur afsos ke ilawa kuch nahi hua...kabhi kabhi to aisi kahaniyaan dikha rahay hotay hain ke raat ki neend urr jae...the only news channel we watch is "metro" as it give daily update on karachi's situation and traffic and weather stuff....aur waise bhi Pakistan ki garmi aur betarteebi main subha se ghar se bahir nikla hua insaan (school/colg/office) ghar aakay tv pay kuch refreshing enjoyable thing hi dekhna chahega rather than depressive new n info...
its good our entertainment media is doing a great job of trying to give good entertainment and lessen the tension and negativity wala atmosphere by producing some great dramas and sitcoms so people have something to look forward to at the end of the hectic day to sit back and relax and enjoy, and also so they have something to talk abt other than polictics, floods, dengue, etc...
abt the morning shows, well i remember pehlay jab bhi koi waqia ya garbar hui hai country mai nadia khan and shaista wahidi and other hosts adressed the issue more or less...i dont know abt now bcoz i dont watch them any more...wedding weeks ka jo silsila hai wo mujhe bhi nahi pasand but again as someone else said afterall these hosts and production teams need some food on their plates as well
i can understand people living abroad feel for their country's current situation and perhaps bcoz the place they live in more pakistani entertainment channels go on air than news channels they believe our media isn't doing a job on spreading awareness abt dengue and flood updates and waghera waghera...me n my family thought the same way too before moving here...

why cant be there any other normal theme jis mein itna zaiwar, kapra aur jashan na manaya jaey… ab zaahri c baat hai shaista aur nida ki market value jo kharaab ho jaey gi aisay program ker kay

I think if they keep a good balance of everything, that would work well. Even though I don't watch Faisal Qureshi's morning show, but I THINK (not 100% sure) they try to address different things in their 3 hour program.
I tried watching of Shaista's show with Bushra Ansari as Saima Choudhry and it was just annoying.
I agree with Name105 that we don't live there and don't really know what people in Pakistan want to watch after a long day. I am guessing it is the same way as here where people like to watch reality shows and sitcoms. And there is not much sports for guys to watch so I kind of wander what the teenage/20 something guys watch on tv....
