Flip-pin aint easy

So I have a side of the family that is half Indian and half filipino. So once in a while we all get together, us, my cousins (half flip/half indian) and their all flip cousins. I have noticed that filipinos have no essential cultural traits that can be distinctively filipino. (except for food…filipino pork dishes are the friggin best in the world) Plus they also have nick names that sound like cartoon characters..the following is the list of names and the corresponding nicknames

  1. Wilbert=Bong Bong
  2. Rommel= Daji
  3. Emmanuel= Chi chi
  4. Voltaire= Adolf :smack: this one make no sense

care to explain?

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

Can it just be your family, and not the whole Filipino culture?

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

matsui do they call you Dodo?

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

No..I grew up in queens, NY and was friends with a lot of flips...it is endemic to the culture.

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

Chalo, so you also have some weird family members. Makes you normal.

By the way, I need to recover $12.45 from you for 'Naked'. Boring as hell. That faggot.

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

They are also 4' 5" tall on average but have a pretty good vertical leap..

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

PD, are you flippin' again?

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

Open you mind faisal...spend another $12 on "Me talk Pretty one day" by Sedaris.. that faggot is funny.

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

I see. Very creepy I must admit. I never knew you were this weird Dodo. Can I call you that? :stuck_out_tongue:

On a serious note, must be interesting mixing Indian and Filipino. The two cultures combined would be quite unique I think.

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

I liked 'Me Talk Pretty One Day'. The other 2 I have read are alright. I think matty just got carried away.

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

I ain’t trustin’ yo taste no mo’ :snooty:

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

MQ, I am the original Burkha inspector  Call me when ready.

Faisal, I liked Naked much more than “Me talk pretty..” I have another one for you..“Running wiht scissors”…sounds like Roman’s life story..but it is not. forget the author..

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

Poor poor dodo, so desperate. I did not know you had a burkha fetish, I need to find myself a bodyguard on gs :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

^ I don't think you need a body guard honey..it's only the Pinstripe Danda coming in for an inspection. ;)

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

Dodo in lieu of the woodpecker story is a status symbol.

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

Nah! I think I'd move away from fiction for some time now. Non-fiction and biographies for the moment.

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

Well do you like American Hisotry, then I have two… Try “Theodore Rex” and Follow with “When trumpets call” T Roosevelt’s whitehouse in the former and his post whitehouse and subsequent run at the Taft presidency, who was incidentally his VP in the latter. Fascinating…they don’t make men like that anymore. And yes…this is related to Filipinos..T R and the Spanish American war etc.. :snooty:

Re: Flip-pin aint easy

Ooohh I have a lot of Flip friends here :) I love flippos :D
