primer is a silicon based liquid base u use first on ur face it givs ur foundaion a good base to start with. its makes ur skin smooth and makes foundation goes on smoothly and perfectly.
psquared: i think liquid foundations r best even if u need heavy coverage cuz u can always layer it on. unliek stick ones they do giev full coverage but they look un natural and need real good blending. whiel liquid ones u can layer on where u need full coverage and leave the other areas and it doesnt look cakey.
go for cream based not water based cuz water baesd will leave streaks and if ur skin is not perfect it will show. and top off with nice powder. it makes a difference trust me.
and for brands i think its a personal choice sumthign that works for me might not work for u. cuz my friends swear by ysl stuff but i dont liek it.
so its better that u visit the mall and try on different brands and stuff and buy watever u think ur comfortabel with.
