Allah has created such lovely flavours for us .. every vegie, fruit, meat, nuts taste different from one another … What are your favourite flavours … mention something that you never get bored of …
I will start with mine … Olive … I feel olive is the bestest flavour ever .. I can have it in any shape and form …
Lemons...gotta have em in the fridge....they just add that pleasant zest/tang to salans.
Hot sauce......I think a few dashes in a few dishes (even salans) just gives it that something extra.
Pasta....it just has that soft comforting texture
Mint....so refreshing and light. I love mint chocolate chip ice cream. It gives a nice flavor to dishes....and I like pudinay ki chutney.
Tamarind....I heart imli ki chutney more than the mint one. So tangy....and I love it drizzled on chaats and on gol guppay....and I love eating it with saalans.
Achar masala....got a nice kick to it. Sprinkle it on some chanay ki daal and it just adds a more complex flavor to it.
Daal.....so simple, but delicious. I used to find it boring as a kid...I really like it now. Especially chanay ki daal.
Sour cream....not the strongest flavor in the world....but it makes dishes taste better.
I also heart ketchup. I feel it's the king of all condiments. Can't have fries without it. And as a kid I learned that it is stong enough to mask the flavor of even some yucky dishes. I mix my hot sauce with either hot sauce or imli ki chutney...turns out awesome!
Cheese.....that moldy milk can be such a staple food in our lives, lol.
i heart olives too... its like... every bite is new and the taste.. it never gets old... amazing thing god made
cookies and cream by hershey. need i say more
bone marrow (the white one and not the brown one)... man i wish i could buy all the bones from the meat shop and make a dish with just gooda meat... its delicious and i could ahve it allll the time!
habshi halwa... the sticky chewy yummyness... divine!
cheese puffs or cheetos followed by sips of sun top... its heaven.. though sun top isnt the safest of drinks with lots of added crap in it... but once in a while... mmmmmmm (only orange flavour though)
candy biscuits. also to be eaten with sun top on the side.
its kinda strange, I like certain flavors nad smells but I will never eat the actual foods…like olives, i love olive oil and can gulp down a pizza slice/sandwich that has olives in it as long as I dont actually taste/eat it…
I can totally relate to that Sara .. I have that thing with onions and bindhi :) .. I love the aroma of fried onions but cant dare to taste it coz I hate onion taste ... But i can have onion flavoured crisps ..
^I'm the same way with onions as well. Low how they smell when being fried....but I'll order my sub without onions..don't like them much in salads either. The smell lingers on your for a while. And I'm also like that with garlic.....has a strong smell....not a huge fan of garlic bread.
RV, onion smell does linger on no matter how many mouth freshners one uses ... garlic smell is still manageable .. it goes away in about 10 minutes of finishing the meal ..
i love really khatte satsumas and grapes
love the taste of pizza
palak chicken
crispy buttery toast
jalebi
pomegrantes
juicy steak
and the list goes on............
i never want my taste buds to rule my life, that is why only flavors I dont like are the ones that dont suit my stomach (like too spicey or what not), rest I like them all.
