Flat Irons

hey,
I have been using different kinds of CHI flat irons for the past 5-6 years. I recently broke the CHI and also realized that it was working that well anyways. So now, I want to switch to a new flat iron.
There is a flat iron called PYT which is usually sold at kiosks at malls. Any reviews on this flat iron?
Also what other flat irons would you guys suggest? Have heard about GHD and KQC but read mixed reviews about them.
I have very very thick curly hair!!

Re: Flat Irons

I never liked chi because it always turned my hair super frizzy as soon as I stepped outside into humidity. I was using GHD for a while time until I ran into Sedu revolution. I am in love with that straightener. I don’t even know what else to say about it. It works amazing and even after 2-3 years, it still works the same. I also have herstyler.. I have this set:Colorful Season Complet Set - Herstyler
I bought it for the curler and I had a deal from group on for it for $60 and it works greta too. I love both the straighteners. Which one I use alternates depending on my mood. The sedu leaves my hair with just a little bit more shine I think. I bought the sedu from ultra when they had the 20% off coupon. They also sent me a blowdryer with it but I never used that.

Re: Flat Irons

I have the CHI too, my hair is relatively straight, but right out of the shower it can be somewhat frizzy, so I use the flat iron to smooth it out if I am going somewhere, it's working fine after two years of use but it doesn't leave a shine anymore....I'm wondering if my hair just got more dry over the years. Does anybody know any products that can leave your hair shiny after using the flat iron?

Re: Flat Irons

My hair is mostly straight but a little wavy...i use the straightener for a neater appearance. I've only used the super cheap ones (remington, conair, revlon etc) since I use them only occasionally, like 3-4x a month max) so I'm wondering if it's worth it to spring for a better straightener? Also, do these expensive straighteners also work as curlers? I've heard they can do double duty.

Re: Flat Irons

Yes... Both my straighteners can curl, flip, and straighten hair also.

Re: Flat Irons
