There is a large number of people who think the earth is flat. NASA is their archenemy and they discount everything we have been told by NASA. For flat eathers, outer space, planets, satellites, and even gravity are a thing of imagination. The sun and moon are only a few thousand miles away and are the same size. They say there is no curvature to earth and theye can prove this by looking at the ships sailing away. They say ships don’t disappear over the horizon because of curvature, they disappear from view because we can’t see that far and if we pick up a telescope the ship will come right back in view. The Antarctica is not a continent as we have been told, Antarctica supposedly surrounds the flat round earth holding its waters.
Now look, I love my conspiracy theories but this has to be the grand daddy of all conspiracies! They have an answer for every argument, every question you throw at them. Whether it is measuring latitude using celestial bodies, distance from North pole and south pole to the equator, the sunset, the timezones, and a lot more. I have not seen people more devoted to an ideology than this. Do we have desis who think the earth is flat? I keep an open mind and I learn but so far, they just seem like really dheet people, unable to reason with.
Last I check, flat earth society had more than 7000 members. They even have a website.

Anything they can't disprove doesn'the exist. Satellite based GPS doesn't exist, it is apparently land based. They BS away every reason and evidence. Worse than religious nuts.
They also believe the Queen number was titled "flat bottom girls" and later corrupted by NASA.
Seriously though - quite unsurprisingly, the reason flat earthers believe the earth is flat *- the Bible.

Indeed but I have come across enough irreligious people who seem to think there is more evidence to support a flat earth than a globe but still, a vast majority of flat earthers are bible thumpers. Clearly, the ISS live stream, hundreds of images of our globe earth, and satellite GPS are not enough evidence.
We should take that model as an example and teach people how not lose grip on reality.
There comes a point in argument when people lose connection to really, and yet present seeming correct argument.
