note: love here is limited to love between a man and a woman, who are about to become a couple or already are.

No its not flaky. I think it is the only truth in this world. We go out of our physical soul to be a part of some one. Its not small.
Apart from this every thing else we do is out of necessity. So I would say every thing else is flaky. Disappears as soon as we are done with them.

Love.... on its own...without any supporting attributes... can be flaky.
But if love is present with other positive attributes can be the glue which cements the relationship.
