fkin apache

i uninstalled apache2 while it was running and now when i try to install apache1.3 from a BigApache package it says **Port 80 is used.. Change the Port with current program.. **

How i can change the port?? :help: :help: :help:

Re: fkin apache

u can edit the port which apache uses in the httpd.conf file thats in the \conf\ folder

Re: fkin apache

i wud say set something like 8080 which is what most people use as an alternative port.

Re: fkin apache

Apparently the previous installation of Apache2 has still occupied the default HTTP server port 80.

Kill 'Apache.exe' from processes (which seems to be running) and then try installing Apache 1.3.x

Re: fkin apache

Integration of PHP 5 and MySQL 4.x with Apache2 is slightly different than previous versions. Do let me know if you need more help.

P.S: I assume you are running Windows.

Re: fkin apache

the installation get cancelled when that message comes and there’s nothing installed at all… :-/

Re: fkin apache

tried it.. still same problem.. :-/

i installed apache2.0 and php5 and it was working fine but now i have to degrade to apache1.3…u know any good links for manually installing apache1.3 with php 4.3?

Re: fkin apache

kulfi bhai stop the apache service by doing:
1.type "services.msc" in run dialog box
2.rt click apache 2 in the list and change its props to disabled

then reboot and reinstall apache... sab theek ho jana chahiye

Re: fkin apache

Do you have IIS or any other HTTP server installed? Make sure that no service is listening to port 80 of your machine.

Step 1: Install Apache 1.3
Step 2: Install PHP 4.x
