Five Mahavartas

Re: Five Mahavartas

^^

you forget aghoris

Re: Five Mahavartas

it's actually Putrakameshti

Re: Five Mahavartas

Fana fillah concept in Sufism :hmmm:

Re: Five Mahavartas

aghoris are Pundits? which category?

Re: Five Mahavartas

Then you should add Nagas, Aghori and Nagas are part of Sadhu/Muni not in hierachy:)

Good:k: no one knows Sanskrit more than Telugus:)

Pandit in past was a caste in which people of any religion can move into like writer of Ramayan was shudra, but now it is by birth, Now a shudra even if claims to have become pandit will still find the same treatment:D

Re: Five Mahavartas

Means rigidity is increasing in Brahmins too :)

Re: Five Mahavartas

In vedic times one can upgrade his caste, in post vedic times caste was determined by birth:(, Brahmin caste was always rigid when it comes to practices of religion and with their genius they always manipulated everything in their favour, their participation in freedom struggle and then ruling politically and bureaucratically shaped India. There status is similar to status of US in the world, no one else deserve number one spot as others have worse qualities, and every one envies but still can't think like them:D

Re: Five Mahavartas

:hmmm: Muhabbat main mehboob ki burai bhi achi lagti hai

Ok talking about other vows. No religion preaches violence.. Non stealing and telling truth is also universal in all the religions.

Re: Five Mahavartas

Why is this under World History and not Religion? Because it’s not regarding the true real religion?

Re: Five Mahavartas

Because its about evolution of a religion over the period :)

Re: Five Mahavartas

I think something is unique in their genes that made them so chaalu and quick like Birbal and TelaliRamKrishna:)

Jains do not permit violence in special conditions too, they keep a cloth on their nose so that bacterias don’t enter their respiration system and get killed by metabolism of the body. I heard they don’t take curd because of Lacto-Bacillus bacteria in it:)

Re: Five Mahavartas

Extreme non-viloence. I heard that cloth on nose too. But how they can socially interact with such restrictions. I mean there interaction at work place. Whats the poulation of jains, who follow such things strictly?

Re: Five Mahavartas

This is reserved for Sant-Mahtamas, Majority of jains are marwadi-kutchi and they love money and earthly realities, i sometimes think because these are not martial caste they chose most non-martial of all religion:D

Re: Five Mahavartas

:hmmm: But who introduce these vows? Why was not stealing given such importance? I mean was the vows created during a period of some war and loot?

Re: Five Mahavartas

You are welcome to open it in R&S Forum. I didn't know what was it.
