Fish BBQ and side dishes

I’m planning to do fish BBQ and wondering if you guys have any good recipes. What kind of fish is best for grilling? And what should I serve with?

I was thinking of using tilapia fillets and use shan fish spice mix…has anyone tried it?

I also want to make another main dish and thinking of boneless chicken frontier fried rice.

Thanks

Re: Fish BBQ and side dishes

I have had grilled salmon a few times. It tastes good grilled.Wont tilapia be too delicate to be grilled...??

Re: Fish BBQ and side dishes

Salmon fillets marinated in mixture of salt, black pepper, pine nuts, dill

Any kind of rice (mutter pulaoo, tahari etc) and bean salad and you have a perfect dinner !

Re: Fish BBQ and side dishes

I would go with grilled Salmon, turns out absolutely delicious. The other day I grilled Tilapia and it was extremely frustrating to manage it without breaking apart into gzillion tiny pieces.

i dont know..i dont eat or cook seafood so i'm not familiar....my hubby got the tiapia fillets and they do look very delicate. I guess I'll have to fry them...:/

I also need delicious grilled salmon recipes. I have them frozen, been planning to cook them for a long time but i am short of ideas.

Salmon doesn't need anything done to it. Salmon is already plenty flavourful. You can poach it by making a sort of a boat for it out of aluminium foil, scatter some chopped green onion on top and float the boat in a fry pan with 1/2 in of water in it. Put a lid on it and cook it till done. Doesn't take long. If salmon alone is not spicy enough for you, you can cook it with Mexican salsa spread on top, or you can serve it with dhania ki chatni.
