Re: fish and lemon

Fish and lemon is an incredibly popular combination in the west. As far as I am aware, it's common in Pakistan too. I thought they were particular about fish and milk / yogurt combo's.

Re: fish and lemon

no lemon with fish?!?!? :hayaa: Lemon juice is like the main ingredient when I make fish! And if I am out at a restaurant - I always ask for a side of lemon so I can squeeze more juice onto my fish! It makes it taste so much tastier!

Re: fish and lemon

And to answer your question.. my family is full of doctors and no one has ever warned me against my luv of fish + lemon juice.

Re: fish and lemon

i have heard the same about milk and fish and white spots, not sure, I have never had issues, and read somewhere that its a specific fish.

lemon, never heard that, and pretty much always have lemon on my fish, whether its fried, pan fried, grilled or baked. except for sashimi or ahi tuna steak

Re: fish and lemon

Yea they say fish with any dairy product will turn you into albino as well. These are myths. Fish turns out the best if you marinate it in lime for a while.

Re: fish and lemon

in west fish without a lemon is almost a non-starter.

fish and milk is sort of true story but its very specific person, very specific fish at very specific time. 99% of the time, there never is a problem eating fish on milk.

Re: fish and lemon

I never make fish without lemon juice, use it in the marinade and squeeze more on top when eating

Re: fish and lemon

I love squeezing lemon on my fish...its a must.
