The main role of governments is to enact laws, but this assembly has not been able to pass even a single one as yet. The thrust is on development projects which ideally should have been through the local government system.

i believe the lower house [whatever it's called] has passed 62 resolutions but the upper house [whatever it's called] hasn't approved it yet to become law.

upper house is senate, where PPP has majority. Every now and then Zardari is seen sitting with Nawaz Sharif but they cant get bills passed through the upper house? Till PMLN does not have majority in Senate there will be no laws enacted in the country?

Sharif knows through experience what happens to those (PPP government) who concentrate on making laws and do not believe in development projects.
The matter of fact is that that people love to see speedy development work instead of speedy legislation. Given the choice of vote, people would love to vote for metro instead of clean drinking water. People would love to vote for free laptops instead of hospitals. People would love to vote for free solar panels instead of quality education. So basically Sharif has his fingers on the pulse of the nation.

right, laws cant be marketed metro can.
local government system is required for ensuring across the board development of the provinces but thats also on the least priority for the governments.

Yes nobody took the houses serious entire year. Which is shameful ofcourse. The leader of house didnt show up at all I guess. Not only him, those who talk about change and revolution like IK only showed up 11 times. Still people keep running after these political leaders and their slogans of Zindabad Murdabad, bycott, dharna etc etc. You get what you wish for!!
