PESHAWAR: The establishment of the Frontier Women University Bill, 2004, was presented in the NWFP assembly on Monday. The Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) had announced the establishment of a women’s university in last year’s budget.
Local Bodies Minister Sardar Muhammad Idrees presented the bill on behalf of the education minister who was not present in the House. The bill said the establishment of a separate university for women in the province was one of the priorities of the provincial government to provide higher education to women in accordance with Islamic values, customs and traditions.
wat is the big deal about coeducation?
sheesh..ppl need to grow up and join the world..it’s 2004. u will not go to hell or ruin ur “izzat” if you happen to get ur education side by side with a boy…
ppl r weird…
O yar… its not like WIERED or something… Its Traditions…
in NWFP the ppl in settled area dont care abt these things… BUT… Surrounding ppl.. living in Villages… DO CARE ABT THESE Things…
PPl @ diff places are dif ideas abt things… Cultural Diff hota hay… and Belive me… Lots of Gals.. in NWFP Missed the University coz of Co Education ..
If You go to West.. Boy Frends and Gal Frend Concept is just a normal thing…
and.. A gal living in West will Call the ppl WEIRED who say… its not GOod…
There are lots of thing.. that are attached to a Society we are living in… Its not wat U think or I think or We think…
Agreed bro
We should’nt get into the Western mindset that people are wrong if they think in conservative islamic terms. Peopple should have the option of living the way they want to, especailly in muslims countries.
i never said anything about dancing or dating or any of these other “western” activities
all i meant was that to deny yourself education, which is something very basic and simple, just coz of guys being there, is wrong, at lesat that’s what i think
Doosra… U think like this.. coz.. Ur brought up is in Diff culture.. diff place…
In NWFP.. the Culture is dif… There in majority of the places… Guys and Gals cannot even think of sit together and study..
I know.. wat U r saying… Education is the Basic thing… AGREED…
BUT… If U talk to ppl regarding co-education Especialy in Baluchistan and NWFP… U will find.. Lots and Lots of ppl.. against it…
Its not that.. they are wrong… Its their Culture.. its how they Belive in their Religion…
They cannot supprt the Gal and a guy studying together.. both… CULTURALY and RELEGIOUSLY.
