First Wind Mill Project- Ground breaking

Re: First Wind Mill Project- Ground breaking

The dangerous part of it is that every year the severity of the crisis is increasing there should be serious efforts to check the problem but no effort in that regard. I wonder this is the beginning of the summers I wonder what will happen in the coming months I feel sorry for the business men because of shortage of electricity and gas.

Re: First Wind Mill Project- Ground breaking

^^ Business men need to help themselves out, e.g., in Faisalabad, they all can afford to install a Solar energy plant good enough get them electricity ( cheap ) and they don't have to sit on govt.

There are other ways as well, businessmen need to help themselves... the current govt. is not going to do any good... i can bet on that... we will see improvement when during the last year of the current govt. tenure when they will buy loads of F.oil to re-start almost all the power producing units... of course it would be election stunt and nothing else...

Re: First Wind Mill Project- Ground breaking

^ well thats a good idea, the same thing has already been implemented in Sialkot where businessmen contributed and had an airport built there because the government was not listening to their demands

Re: First Wind Mill Project- Ground breaking

No it was done after him. Sorry to burst your bubble. I actually interviewed an ex-engineer of that project so I know the details.

Re: First Wind Mill Project- Ground breaking

I have developed small wind mill hybrid (solar + wind) system that can produce 550-700 Watts (with min 12Km wind speed and sun light) ... this is easy to install and need only 6x6x10 (W.L.H) cubic feet space... and currently it is costing a little high (In Pak Rs: 80-90 K) but I am working to reduce the cost to 45-60K...This can be used any where from small houses, shops, apartments etc! I am looking for investor!

Who is interested to market and invest in Pakistan? :D

Re: First Wind Mill Project- Ground breaking

No you didn't burst any bubble! Its still there!
Would you kindly share what are the details? and when exactly they started working on this project and who allowed them to install at Jhampir?

Keep two things separate, Project starting date and Project finishing date! :-)

Re: First Wind Mill Project- Ground breaking

Come on, you can't figure this out? More rental power projects, buying electricity from neighbors (Iran or India, more likely from Iran), eventually govt power producers will die because they won't be able to get finances that will increase more load-shedding and this will cause full collapse of electricity generation/distribution.

Re: First Wind Mill Project- Ground breaking

So much noises from the current government regarding rental power projects as a source to address the current energy crisis:

2 power plants shut down due to furnace oil shortage

**Two rental power plants, producing 232MW stopped supply to PEPCO.

According to rental power ships spokesperson, the two power plants were producing 232MW but due to cut in furnace oil supply both the power plans has been closed**. The country is already facing severe power crisis and closure of two power plants would add to people’s miseries.

Updated at: 1813 PST, Monday, April 25, 2011

**ISLAMABAD: Poor people are suffering from the menace of unprecedented power outages because VVIPs enjoy facilities of generators, UPS and other alternatives to stay cool and uninterrupted, Geo News reported.

**
Sources said that President House, Prime Minister House, Governor House, Chief Minister Civil Secretariat and Army areas are enjoying 24-hours continuous power supply.

Although Pepco officials have informed government that the company is left with no other option but observing load shedding because of power shortfall that has risen to 6000 Megawatt a day on all grid stations and feeders but no positive response seen yet.

Engineer Mohammed Khalid, DG Pepco, told Geo News that the company is observing load shedding on all feeders alike however power of VVIP buildings runs on generators and UPS during hours of load shedding.

I hope this deal goes through and is not affected by red tapism and kickbacks.
