First Trimester experiences and advice

Re: First Trimester experiences and advice

^ All of this.

For me, all I could keep down was Taco Bell’s 7 Layer Wraps which are basically just condiments in a soft tortilla. But honestly, I was vomiting so frequently with anything and everything being a nausea trigger, that so long as I could tolerate it and it stayed down, that’s what I ate. The smells from desi food were a nightmare - ugh.

Some people are lucky enough to not have any nausea. Mine started at exactly week 6 and lasted until exactly week 17. It was pretty miserable, let me tell you.

So my main advice is: listen to your body, expect it to do wonky things and be a slave to your hormones if you must. Your system is going through an IMMENSE amount of adjustment and change- stuff will happen and feel weird- just go with it. Do what your body wants you to do and you’ll get through it. Don’t try and fight it, and remember, there IS no “normal” anymore!
