I’m interested to know how you guys felt when you found out.
Ecstatic
Joyful
Nervous
Edit: Well can't leave you hangin', 'cause of my age and my wife's age we had to get Downs Syndrome testing. There is a new test that is less invasive called CVS and it is done a lot sooner. That was what made us nervous. All checked ok. I even went in to deliver the babio. Now, that my friend will tell whether you are a gubru jawan or is it just the name.
But at the end the baby was deliverd naturally, he had some issues initially and had to be kept under watch for a day, but all was ok. If this is your first I would recommend LeMans classes. They are more for of a social event but you will learn a few things and especially once the spouse starts getting contractions and one needs to tend to it. On the same token if you have help that will save you a lot of this BS, I had no help, just me my wife two dogs and two cats (the animals didnt help) so had to learn.
I thanked the thing that made it possible.

who? … your best friend?
Madhaniyeh after initial cheers and shouts of "My boys can swim"...any after thoughts.
Right now I don't know what I'm feeling. I guess it hasn't sunk in yet.
Verizon: I appreciate your input. We don't have the same concerns as you but kinda changes the perspective because within hours of finding out-you start thinking like a parent...guess my mind is racing right now.
you can say that Gama… I think of you as my best friend too.

wel.....when my maa baap became first timers..........i felt as if i had just been born.....ah wat a feeling it was......
I think becoming first time parent hits everyone differently. What I remember is after the birth of my first kid, I came home, and took a nice long shower, and while shaving, I stared into the mirror for a long time and kept referring to myself as “Walid Sahib” and didn’t believe that it happened. But it did.

Disbelief. Still feel like that now.
Actually I jumped the gun, what do you mean found out? Found out that the wife is pregnant? or found out that you have a baby (post 9months)?
9 months is long time for the first time.
I just found out that she is pregnant and my mind is running like a cpu right now.
Gabru…..congrats man. That’s a great news. Who would have thought a schmuk like you can do this. Now be prepared for her moods, etc. craving for a Ressee’s peanut butter cups at 3.30 in the morning is very normal thing for pregos… so make sure you have a stock of them, and also get some other candy and beef jerky, and all different kinds of candies… when she asks for them, pretend that you went to the store to buy it, don’t ever let her find where you stash these goodies…because part of the excitement for the girls is to annoy those who impregnate them. It’s like their way of getting back at you.
Good luck buddy.

First this emotional over load and now I have to become a friggin Houdini at 3:00 a.m and pull something impossible out of my hat.
Madhanee unlike you I had no doubts about my schmuk.
What's a good read besides Fatherhood for Dummies?
Oye...don't remind me about my 350z. I'm already thinking about trading in for a SUV. I think this is one change I'm going to resist the most.
Gabru yaar, the ‘man’kind of Gupshup is eternally grateful to you for opening this topic. There’s this misconception that pregnancy is only a female issue. The truth of the matter is that men have to go thru so much more than the girls at the time of pregnancy. Yaara keep us posted, one trimester at a time. I think there are like 6 or 7 trimesters throughout pregnancy. First is a little rough on men, then it gets better.
