Re: First time home buying..
My husband is obsessed about moving to Sugarland, Texas! Apparently it’s a great Houston suburb and there are tons of ‘educated’ desis there! We are also looking for a house in NY these days but when we see a 5 bedroom mansion with a luxurious pool for only $400,000 in Sugarland, we are so tempted to pack our bags and go there. But all our family is in NY and neighboring states so we are pretty much stuck here. The cost of living is soooo high here! Property taxes are over the roof in Long Island and Westchester which makes me wonder people down south and in the Midwest must be floating in money given the cheap housing and low cost of living!
