That was the biggest fear of people seeing Mickey Arthur go. Mickey took a stand against these every season place hoggers. We all know Misbah's mentality very well. He's yet again relying on the typical names instead of going with the best talent.
Mind you that they'll play against a very mediocre and young Srilankan team who has no big exposure. So its like playing another domestic team on the home ground. This was the best chance to test new players
I have high hopes from Misbah. Ive been reading Ahmad Shehzad has worked extremely hard on his fitness, so he deserves a go.
On the other hand, Umer Akmal doesn't look very fit in the ongoing domestic tournament so I'm not sure why he is selected. But I don't think Misbah will tolerate any non sense from any player regarding fitness and discipline.
Let give him a channge and best of liuck to Misbah .... I hope he do good for the betterment of Cricket of Pakistan...
Ok lets see. If fitness is the criterion than Army training camp declared Fawad Alam as the fittest player in entire Pakistani camp.

Thats the proof of extremely defensive mindset Misbah has. He preferred to keep Shahzad and UA even after first T20 loss just to prove himself right and rely on “seniors” rather than picking new talent to avoid risk. So shameful. Imagine whats going to happen in Australia next month

Just saw the press conference by Misbah after T20 loss. Very disappointed. He took every question very personal and instead of pointing out the technicalities he either brushed it aside or threw it back on journos.
I understand that in Cricket whoever plays better wins but not owning the problem is a indication of a bigger issue.
Sometimes I think it may be better that Pak doesnt get a chance to play cricket constantly. It can be a utter failure.
Imran's power has supposedly been curtailed in the new constitution but wasn't Misbah hired when he still had a lot of power?

I think so since all Imran cares about is test cricket. See his past interviews. Tuk tuk works very well there.
And now misbah is also the ISB head coach , replacing dean jones. PCB has so many corporeate experianced managers . No one underrstand something is called Conflict of interest ?????
