This is inspired from another thread. I don’t want to know when you came here but rather if you personally know a Pakistani who moved here as far back as 1947.

The person I know moved in 1969.

The key is migration and not just a visit.

I know a family moved to USA in 1966.

In Canada I know an aunty who was born here in 1961 I guess. Her dad came in late 50s and started import/export business from/to Pakistan.

not as far as 1947 but i do know one person who is a successful business man here in LA who moved here in 1971

I know several, some are even my family members, who moved to UK in 50s and 60s. Rememeber that back in those days people migrated mostly to UK not US. But the trend has changed over the years

Mexican Punjabis: Punjabis who came to USA in the 1920’s, 1930’s, 1940’s.
They are called hindus but were most of Sikh descent with many muslims as well.

I know many in PAPA (Pakistani American Pharmaceutical Association) who moved in USA in late 60's and early 70's

Niaz Mohammed; born in 1897 and immigrated to USA in 1923. He married a mexican woman.
