** First made in Pakistan fighter to roll out tomorrow**

ISLAMABAD: The first state of the art JF-17 Thunder multi-role fighter plane produced in Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra will roll out tomorrow.

This will kick start a new era in Pak-China relationship, and aviation industry, an official source told Geo News.

Both China and PAF attach a lot of importance to this project, which is materializing after hectic and laborious efforts spread over almost a decade, sources said.

The PAC has generated all the capability to produce the aircraft locally for its onward delivery to PAF besides materializing purchase orders from abroad.

The JF-17 Thunder a new generation, light-weight, all weather, day/night multi-role fighter aircraft with glass cockpit, hands-on-throttle-and-stick (HOTAS) controls and efficient man-machine interface will ensure a minimal pilot workload.

The maximum speed of Mach 1.6 and a high thrust-to-weight ratio will enable it to perform well in an air defence role.

An ability to carry short- as well as long-range air-to-air missiles lends the aircraft a first shot capability.

In the surface attack role, a variety of weapons - conventional as well as precision-guided, a sophisticated avionics suite along with accurate weapon delivery system, ensure higher mission success rate.

An effective ECM suite will greatly enhance survivability of the platform.

Its anticipated air-to-air refuelling capability will provide the JF-17 with more loiter time to safeguard the frontiers and the ability to deliver the required punch at distance.

It will replace the ageing fleets of A-5s, F-7Ps and the Mirages in the PAF inventory thus fulfilling a multi-role task.

Great news!

A good fighter aircraft is just one of the pieces in the overall scheme of Pak's national defense.

Perhaps it is the first brick in the building block.

It is time we thank God for what we have,

It is also time to be seriously peaceful in our global posture, so that we can get at least 25 years of peace. This will allow us to build ourselves as a nation that is prosperous and strong.

We should be humble, otherwise we may end up making a mistake that Germans and perhaps Japanese made during WW-II. They had some pieces of their defense, and felt they can take on the big powers of their time.

The reality was quite different. And the result was a horrible destruction of the two countries.

It takes long periods of peace for a country to be ready.

And we too should seek peace at every cost.

Can i wire transfer the money outside Pakistan???

Oh, that would be a Pakistan copy of a Chinese copy of an old Russian plane.

who cares....Pakistan is producing its own fighters...thats a big news...

but the only problem is the Engines are still made in Russia and China had to do a lot of arm twisting to allow the russians to give us the engines....

i think we need to invest in building our own engines...

Great job... now a little more effort is needed as indicated by other members, towards engines technology.

You are kidding. If China, which gave you the plane still can't make the engines, you think Pakistan can make it?

Everything besides the engine was build by China and Pakistan. The Engines the RD-93, are Russian and we decided to use these engines on the plane.

China is building its own engine but that project got delayed due to the Earthquake in China where the factories for those engines are being made.

So for now we will use Russian Engines but later we will use the Chinese Engines.

This is the nation who have struggling economy from last 60 years, for which countries and so-called intellectuals are issuing dates for final collapse and the same country with all the lack of resources and support armed itself (only with the Grace and support of Allah all Mighty) with nuclear capabilities and now Pakistan has entered into new era of producing Jet fighters. Subhan Allah, this is all the blessings of Allah all might, all thanks to Him all Praises for Him.
