It doesn't matter if Jindal is of Indian lineage. What does matter, is that an overwhelming majority of bible-humping conservatives elected a Brown man over a Black or White man in a state with very strong racial divide. That is why Desis are cheering - because the American dream includes people of Brown skin.
In 2005, the demographics of Louisiana stood at: 65% White. 33.5% Black. 1.5% Asian. 1% Native.
