I think it varies depending on your personality...like for e.g in my case, I'm pretty quiet and reserved when it comes to meeting strangers, it takes me a while to open up to people so I try not to form an opinion on anyone right off the bat...that said, there are always times when you meet someone and you automatically think 'man this person sounds like a jerk' or 'this gal talks too much - I'm sure she's the kind who loves telling tales' etc -- thats bound to happen.
Dont think anything is too wrong with that...you just call it as you see it I guess. With time, you sort of get to work out the correct first impression on people....anyway no one's perfect...which is why I think it helps to be polite but stay reserved with strangers until you get to know them better..then you have a better idea who's a jerk and who isent....that works for me and I'm a guy !
Great Advice, yea I do tend to jump to conclusions!! But the funny thing is that when I am shy and reserved ppl think I'm stuck up!! So I'm trying to get out of that shell...and its pretty hard!!!
