yes and similarly today's noori shoori bands wouldnt have been there if junoon and vital signs hadnt revolutionized music in pakistan.

Sami just a free piece of advice :D Majority of pakistani music listeners is unaware of different genres of rock music so rather than reminding them of their lack of knowledge, getting your point accross politely should be the priority.
Regarding the topic of the thread, I think there is a lot of confusion amongst upcoming bands on which lines they wanna base thier music on. There are only few bands who KNOW what they wanna do and are making thier music whether they get commercially successful or not.

dunno about the band...but just wanted to say there was another "hardcore" band many many years ago. dont remember the name...but it was in the days when dr. aur billa just came out (yea...poppy reference...who cares)

Ahh, Messiah. Not a bad band. They've got a lot of work to do, but they were moving in the right direction. What's going on with them these days? The best of the very few metal bands from Pakistan in my opinion, are Dusk. Simply awesome progressive, Jazz/Fusion "Opeth" inspired metal.
