hmm I am not married but here are some options...
First Night- a nice (hopefully expensive) watch
First Anniversary- A nice cologne, few nice shirts and a romantic get away
First Birthday- His favorite kind of cake, A nice day together at an attraction that he would like, a gift card to his favorite stor, and cook dinner for him

First night: my long awaited diamond ring (got two actually since my husband bought one to fool me with and the other one was a surprise)
first anniversary: a surprise box full of cards with special notes written inside (yes i was surprised to see him write anything besides To and From in them), some cute gift shop items, a pair of chanel earrings (that was actually on my wish list and he got them ) and a chanel necklace, which was a complete surprise
first birthday: he threw a party for me lol and forgot to get a gift soooo I got money instead to buy an outfit of my choice :D
also my birthday gift was getting to spend my birthday with him since we're still living apart sighhh
all together Alhumdullilah he's pretty caring deep down inside lol

both are important. obviously not every man can buy his wife a rolex loaded with diamonds but he should get something according to how much he earns. doesn't hurt to buy expensive jewelry once in a while.

Am not married but I still do give him gifts..
I have given a watch and clothes…but it was never for any special occasion…but I know guys love gadgets..they love watches, and shades and perfumes…
and jst like girls they love to get pampered

FIrst gift: A complete set of jewlery to be worn on our wedding day.
First birthday: A card, beautifully decorated by him with little sayings of love
First Anniversary: Don't know yet, but I can't wait to find out! LOL
As for what I have given to him, the gifts have been on the practical side. But, each day I give him my love, attention, devotion and loyalty, and respect. A back massage, foot massage, a warm dinner and a peaceful evening are all his each night! Hmmm, can you tell we are newly married? LOL! But seriously, I don't see my feelings or his changing any time soon. It would be nice to know that we never let our lives get boring or mundain. Life is a one time event with this man that I intend on not asting one moment of!

On the 1st night I gave my hubby all of his favorite candies!! & he gave me jewelery! :)

I didn't give him anything on first night. He gave me a diamond and sapphire bracelet. First birthday I got him a massage chair, and he got me diamond earings we also took each other for an evening out and a meal. First anniversary we both just went on 2 week holiday, and treated each other to various things throughtout (small souvenirs, excursions, meals etc)/
