More and more choice for the people of Pakistan, and especially good for Balochistan as well.
First ever satellite TV licence granted to Balochistan
**Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) in its meeting here Thursday decided to grant three more satellite TV licences including the first ever private satellite TV licence for Balochistan besides “Duniya TV” and “Prime TV”, says a press release. With this addition the number of Pakistani licensed private TV channels would grow to 22. **The authority while examining the current status of electronic media in Pakistan resolved to maintain a level-playing field for all media operators. Chairman Pempra Iftikhar Rashid said that the application of M/S East Films (Pvt.) Ltd., Balochistan, has been considered by the authority. Once started the channel with the brand name of “Sabz Bat” would be the first private entertainment, news and current affairs TV channels from the remote province of the country. He asserted that the authority is constantly undertaking the endeavours to penetrate the health and sensible broadcast mediums to the nooks and corners of society. The authority also took the decision of granting “Landing Rights” permission to 10 off-shore Pakistani and foreign satellite TV channels already on-air and approved the award of another specialised subject (academic) FM radio licence to Riphah International University, Islamabad.
Re: First ever satellite TV licence granted to Balochistan
We are better off with idiots like him in detension so we do not have to hear about this pathetic insurgency that rages on.
What's really pathetic is how we have colonized Balochistan and are stealing their resources. Yeah, sardars may be just as bad, but so is the army and government.
Re: First ever satellite TV licence granted to Balochistan
Just 6 years we had just PTV as the only channel people could watch for news and entertainment. Now we have no less than 23 private tv channels, and the number is growing which demonstrates what spectacular progress has been made towards a freer media in Pakistan.

Yup, the Baloch must rise to the occassion now, and promote their views and opinions to wider Pakistan, and the world.
How do you even if it is a "balochi" channel? How can't we know it is another of firdaus jamal's productions like khyber tv which is based in islamabad.

That was very well said :).
If only more people looked towards the positives and be optimistic about the future instead of dwelling on past mistakes and spreading pessimism around.
