I go and collect all such pieces from a house where are all Pakistani student lives (8 of them) and I rarely have to buy a bread!

My husband likes the bread-end pieces, I don’t, so it works out perfectly :smiley:

We feed them to birds

Toast them nicely and eat them with hummus or spinach dip

We don't throw them away.......but they usually last until the end........ then we HAVE eat them

I eat them, its still bread and I hate it when people throw them away!

Once I was volunteering in a homeless shelter. We were setting the table for the meal and the people in charge told us to put two pieces of bread at each plate. I was putting the ends too and if they were really small ends, then giving 3 pieces to compensate. The lady was like what are you doing :smack: throw the ends away and only give the good pieces! They feed hundreds of people everyday, it made me dizzy to see how many end pieces were getting wasted. I thought it was pretty ironic and sad to see so much food wastage at a homeless shelter! I couldnt bring myself to throw them away so I just filled up the empty bags with the ends and left them in the kitchen, hoping they would use them for bread crumbs or something!!!

wow its so nice to know there are ppl actually like me hehehe :D but i agree we shud not throw away any food. here ppl in dubai esp emiratis are sooo bad they leave leftovers and sometimes eat so lil at a restaurant and leave the rest.. its so saddening. cus so many ppl r dyin out of hunger and they can use all that food for a day or two and they throw it like this.. sick ppl

I toast them, spread strawberry jam on one side and butter on the other, make a sandwich and eat it....... yummmmmmmy

If I am in a hurry to clean up the kitchen area/fridge I throw them away. Otherwise ask the kids to feed em to birds.

Usually I eat it, when the rest of the bread is finished. But if it doesn't seem appetizing any more I will give it to the birds.

I just ate one few minutes ago!...bread was finished...so i said..wat the heck...i eat paindu style...put jam on it and dip in tea....wasn't bad actually..

I usually make bread crumbs out of them, fresh ones are so much better than those boxed ones.

The boys in my house won't eat them!

Every now and then I toast them til they go really crispy and spread with jam - delish!

Otherwise they are taken to the local park and fed to the ducks :)

me and my family have always eaten them, albeit sometimes at the end of the loaf but throwing them away is just wasteful i feel.

Ive used them when making cutlets...toasted them really well and rolled the cutlets in them before frying.
