Re: Firefox problem
How many add-ons you have installed with it and are running, including toolbars if any?
Re: Firefox problem
Yes, same problem here...........................its acting wired and for a little bit I have switched to Safari.........................:)
Re: Firefox problem
Its a known problem for a firefox. Mostly the problem is that it use up all of the processor's power.
People tried and and the solution that mostly works is to start it over while making a new user account IN firefox.
Though it didnt help me. I swiched to its bets tester of all releases : Minefield. The best so far I can say.
Re: Firefox problem
i m facing the same problem ...:( i thought i was the only 1 having this kinda problems ...
I guess its coz of tons adds on tht i hav installed ... or som other problem ... tht i didnt diagnosed yet ..
plez help us all ... Advance thanks ...
Re: Firefox problem
I’m using it now, and it’s working fine for me… ![]()
It could be the amount of add-ons you have on currently… switch to [dare i say] Chrome for the meantime.
Re: Firefox problem
its surely not due to add ons.. its just a problem firefox has..
I even try to mess with about:config but even there nothing helped me before.
Re: Firefox problem
I removed all the 'faltoo' add-ons. Deleted all the history. It helped to decrease the RAM usage to 100MB for one site. After that I used an optimization tool called 'firetune'. Its has made things real fast and the RAM usage for one site has gone down to 60MB.
Re: Firefox problem
really thts nice ... u mean we need to remove adds on tht ve rnt using ..... ????
Re: Firefox problem
yeh remove all the addons like extensions and themes and all the toolbars u dont use. After that firetune it. :k:
Re: Firefox problem

i wont lik to remove them ... will disable work n do the need ?
Re: Firefox problem
i have uninstalled all the things that i dont use. Now I have only 5 extensions like google gears, google toolbar, fast dial, java quick starter etc and only one theme which is the default theme. dont remove any plugins.
Re: Firefox problem
thanks .. i hav disable few add on ... n system is quite better noww ...
Re: Firefox problem
There's something odd with 3.5 (I didn't even have any extensions installed, just fresh install running).
I have for the 3rd time yesterday reverted back to 3.0 because 3.5 hangs, times out too often, and seems really buggy. 3.0 has been working flawlessly.
Re: Firefox problem
you must be using the beta version, just stick with the 3.0.xx
Re: Firefox problem
But isn't 3.5 official release already? It's on the mozilla mainpage. Yup it's 3.0 for now
Thanks for the tips guyz. That worked for me as well. My firefox memory usage was easily going to 150-200 MB. After removing the adds-on and using firetune, its beneath 100 MB right now with three tabs running. :)
Re: Firefox problem
I have 3.5 & I dont like it.
Its keeps giving me messages about images not being able to load.
:hinna:
PS: I have absolutely no add-ons
Re: Firefox problem
^^ try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it.
