I used to have a problem of not being able to see the ‘Quote’ button and the emoticons (such as 
) when accessing gs thru firefox. In a brilliant stroke I checked my adblock list and sure enough the icons directory had somehow gotten in their! I muct have hit adblock to get rid of some pesky add and selected the wrong item from the list! I removed it and all is well!
