So for my thesis I am modelling the thermo-mechenical stress of a pellet (cylinderical shape) due to increase in temperature. My professor asked me to use finite difference method in the shape of rings to model the phenomenon. I have the equations for how the pellet behaves when the temperature with in the pellet inreases but the problem is I do not know anything about finite difference method and i would really apprieciate if someone can help me with this issue.
Re: Finite difference method.
and you really want to learn finite difference method on a GS forum...lol...kaya baat ha....pm me..i may help you..did my MS in computational fluid dynamics years ago and used both finite difference and finite element methods to solve non-linear equations...
