Finished grad school...need advice!

Hey,

I recently finished my MA. Grades pending, although I may have done very well.

I still have no firm career plans, which sucks. I am inclined slightly towards teaching high school History/Politics. I have a few questions on this.

I am currently UK based, but am wondering how I’d go about teaching in a US school?

Secondly, if I opt for a PhD, how does one secure funding from a major US school (Yale for instance).

I know about half of you are in the US, and of that half atleast half are college grads. One of you must have some advice.

Are foreigners allowed to complete for academic aid on equal terms with US citizens?

man… you’ve asked the exact same questions a few times before and gotten pretty comprehensive answers… use the search tool bud (c.f. here and I’m sure you’ll find more :)).

congrats on finishing the Masters though - but I see you’re pretty much as indecisive as ever… my advice - please do not start a Ph.D. until you’ve gained at least some work experience and also done due diligence in planning your career course.

When I cant make my mind up, I just return to the classroom environment. :)

Why the change of name, Umar? I didnt think GS allowed such shifts. :)

I wish I had a career plan bro, but I just cant figure one out. I've taken scores of aptitude tests, personality tests, careers office interviews, workshops. It all amounts to nothing.

Any idea of how to find my calling?

Does GS need staff? I'm good with words, I can be a PR machine. :P
