The Traitors , The conspirators won
CIA and its agent played better than we Pakistanis
**The President of China postponed the visit of Pakistan
It's not just the Chinese president who cancelled his visit. The IMF delegation canceled its visit to Pakistan as well. As did Sri Lanka's president. The rupee is depreciating. And the overall economy has reportedly taken a significant hit because of the crazy protest 'dharnas.' None of this sadly has so far moved Imran Khan or Qadri Tuq.
That said, I think it'll be unkind of China--an ally of even North Korea and a country of Tiananmen Square protests fame so it's not exactly stranger to dissent--to get 'angry' and downgrade its ties with Pakistan because its president is temporarily unable to visit due to circumstances out of control of Pak government. The Chinese president is also visiting India and Sri Lanka as well; he wasn't doing a great favor by visiting only Pakistan. Most likely he will visit Pakistan sooner or later. Also let's not forget, last year Chinese Premier Li Keqiang visited India first before visiting Pakistan, and that too on his very *first *foreign visit after assuming office, signifying the importance China attaches to its ties with India--and a possible snub to Pakistan.
Coming back to the crazy dharna, as Bushra Gohar of Awami National Party aptly put it, the container clown show is a case of Lahori versus Lahori vying for Takht-e-Punjab. Even if no rigging had taken place in last year's elections, Imran Khan wouldn't have won parliamentary majority from Punjab and probably knows he can't win without military backing so is just agitating to topple the Prime Minister who did get elected. Tuq is a rabble rouser who probably won't win one seat even if he ran for elections but has a savior complex nonetheless.
Both Imran and Tuq, the ideological brothers so to speak, causing mayhem deserve strong condemnation. But seems like sadly it's much more comforting for some people to instead take refuge in conspiracy theories and blame the usual external scapegoats of CIA, Mosad etc. The "foreign hand," after all, is a convenient alibi in South Asian countries. It's a better idea IMHO to call a spade a spade and condemn Imran and Qadri and blame their ego and lust for power for the current imbroglio. They are not 5 years olds who're unable to think or act on their own.
Hopefully, though sanity will prevail and Imran and Tuq will finish their container show soon.
