Because whoever it is you like might think you’re a weirdo? That instead of you courting her and telling her your feelings yourself, you’re sending your parents?

I wouldn’t think of that person as a weirdo… it shows respect… and courting in our society would mean engagement or intention to marry someone - not test drive
